Jon D. Patty

Prior to joining M/C Venture Partners in 2004, Mr. Patty made private equity investments beginning in early 2000 in the media, communications, and technology sectors at J.P. Morgan Capital, then a $4 billion private equity investment firm.  His investments included CallVision (sold to VeriSign (Nasdaq: VRSN) in January 2006), Sylantro, MindShift, and Utilicom.  Prior to his private equity career, Mr. Patty was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York focused on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance.  Mr. Patty also worked at Bain & Co. advising clients on corporate strategy.  Mr. Patty received an MBA with honors from The Wharton School with a dual major in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance.  Mr. Patty graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University receiving a B.A. in Economics and a B.Mus. in Classical Guitar Performance.  Mr. Patty serves as a Board of Directors observer at Legendary Pictures, SiteExcell Tower Partners, and Vertical Communications.  Mr. Patty was formerly a Board of Directors observer at CallVision.
