Salvatore Tirabassi

Mr. Tirabassi joined M/C Venture Partners in 2007 after over seven years at Dolphin Equity Partners. At M/C, Mr. Tirabassi has led investments in Airband, where he is a member of the board of directors, and Seven Networks, where he is an observer on the board of directors. In addition, he sits on the board of CSDVRS, and is an observer on the board of SpeechCycle. At Dolphin, he led investments in and served on the board of eight portfolio companies: Airband, Epic Cycle, Gomez, MaxPreps (acquired by CBS in 2007), SilverCarrot, The Guild, Vercuity and VitalStream (acquired by Internap in 2006). Prior to Dolphin, Mr. Tirabassi worked in product development and marketing at Diamond Lane Communications (acquired by Nokia in 1998). Prior to Diamond Lane Communications, he was an early employee and spent 4 years at FutureBrand, a strategic marketing consulting firm (acquired by Interpublic Group in 1997). Mr. Tirabassi received an MBA in 1999 from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar. He also received an MSE in Telecommunications and Networking Engineering in 1998 from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tirabassi received an AB cum laude in 1993 from Harvard University, where he studied philosophy and foreign languages.
